Many people who dedicate their lives to making the world a better place work hard for many years only to find themselves burned out and questioning the impact of their efforts. I work with individuals to align their values and passions with their vocations and to develop a roadmap for a truly outstanding and satisfying career path marked by joyfulness, fearlessness, and positive social impact.
I create and facilitate workshops and presentations on the nuances of diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace, with a focus on the public and service sectors. I am to provide tools for organizations and policymakers to put into place to build a system that produces more equitable outcomes for employees, for Washington’s 1,000,000+ students, and for millions of beneficiaries of Washington’s 6,100+ nonprofit organizations. I created and teach the course, “Race, Power, and Social Impact in the Nonprofit Sector” at the University of Washington/Tacoma.
Individuals and organizations looking to make a positive difference with their dollars are able to do so on a much grander scale if they have a framework from which to operate. I draw from nearly 20 years of experience in the social services and formal training in economics and nonprofit finance to provide customized frameworks for philanthropic giving that allow for examinations of root causes of societal problems and creative exploration of how to make a difference through philanthropy.
