Many people who dedicate their lives to making the world a better place work hard for many years only to find themselves burned out and questioning the impact of their efforts. I work with individuals to align their values and passions with their vocations and to develop a roadmap for a truly outstanding and satisfying career path marked by joyfulness, fearlessness, and positive social impact.
Educational and nonprofit institutions cannot fulfill their purpose without a highly qualified, satisfied, and engaged workforce, yet issues on the supply and demand side of workforce development for these fields create dysfunction, high turnover rates, and a lack of diversity, equity, and inclusion. I facilitate workshops and give presentations on the nuances of these issues and provide tools for organizations and policymakers to put into place to build a system that produces healthier outcomes for employees, for Washington’s 1,000,000+ students, and for millions of beneficiaries of Washington’s 6,100+ nonprofit organizations.
Individuals and organizations looking to make a positive difference with their dollars are able to do so on a much grander scale if they have a framework from which to operate. I draw from nearly 20 years of experience in the social services and formal training in economics and nonprofit finance to provide customized frameworks for philanthropic giving that allow for examinations of root causes of societal problems and creative exploration of how to make a difference through philanthropy.
